Scott Torns DCDr. Torns received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from New York Chiropractic College in 1995 and has been practicing on Long Island ever since. His interest in the Atlas Orthogonal Technique was spurred by an injury his wife sustained and the technique was the only intervention gentle enough to be implemented with success. Three weeks after seeing the difference in his wife and asking the proverbial question, “How did you do that?” his studies began. An assistant professor teaching kinesiology, biomechanics and motor development at the C.W. Post campus of Long Island University, he was drawn to the mechanically specific nature of and simplicity of Atlas Orthogonal. His interests lie in Atlas Orthogonal research, posture and biomechanics, and in core strength. He currently resides in Commack with his wife and two children.
